Great post! I also think too many people are blindlingly following product sense, when making good decision is a much more difficult process. While product sense does allow for structured brainstorming and sometimes provides new ideas, the traditional brainstorming when everyone can say whatever pops up in their mind at that moment, is also useful. :) but maybe less useful for product management interviews. :)

Product sense = exposure + time.
Expose yourself to more 'product stuff' (onboarding flows, interviews, content, apps, UX, etc.), gain more product sense.
